California will soon be able to use Apple Wallet to store driver’s licenses and state identification cards
California driver's licenses and state IDs with Apple Wallet make ID presentation seamless with iPhone and Apple Watch security
When a user has an ID stored in Apple Wallet, they can present it in person at specific TSA security checkpoints and establishments using their iPhone or Apple Watch
You don’t need to pull out your actual ID when it’s in Wallet. Just add it to the Wallet app, then use it at specific locations
Having your ID stored in Wallet makes it easy to provide proof of age and identification when necessary
Your iPhone or Apple Watch can tap a valid driver's license or state ID from the Wallet app at some TSA checkpoints
Your information will only be shared when you give permission using Face ID or Touch ID
When adding an ID to Apple Wallet, the state-issuing body only receives the information needed to accept or refuse a driver's license or state ID
