KETS Quantum Security Wins £1.7m Innovate UK QKD Contract
Innovate UK’s Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI) has given KETS Quantum Security a £1.7 million contract to expedite the development of their next-generation Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) system
The new QKD solution is especially made to satisfy additional near-term market demands not met by current offerings
A key component of KETS’s contract-winning bid is the provision of a Delivering a system Hardened, Scalable, and Interoperable QKD solution
KETS is going to establish the interoperability of its devices with an industry-leading third-party QKD key relay and management software suite, BasejumpQDN, from evolutionQ
SBRI, which incorporates Innovate UK funding, intends to accelerate quantum network technology component and system development and promote UK leadership in the developing worldwide market
By providing a QKD system that satisfies consumer needs, KETS hopes to ensure that the UK can be at the heart of the global supply chain for commercial quantum-safe communications
