SES and SpeQtral Sign MoU Quantum-Secure Communications
SES and SpeQtral inked an MoU to establish an interoperable optical ground station (OGS) for long-distance satellite Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) between Asia and Europe
SES and SpeQtral will be able to connect their present and upcoming QKD satellite missions by developing an interoperable OGS
SpeQtral and SES will remove worldwide deployment and acceptance constraints, decrease the QKD service gap, and lower quantum communication infrastructure costs
OGS is expected to be built in Singapore, a magnet for quantum-safe initiatives like the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA)-led National Quantum Safe Network Plus (NQSN+) program
QKD satellites operate in Sun-Synchronous Orbits 500 kilometres from Earth, providing global connection and enabling secure quantum computer communications
EAGLE-1 project is being developed by SES and a group of European partners to provide early access to long-distance QKD for extremely secure data transfers
SpeQtral is deploying fiber-based Quantum Key Distribution solutions for urban communication networks in collaboration with Telcos
This is a group of hardware and software technologies that combine the Quantum-Safe Terrestrial and Quantum-Safe Satellite networks in a seamless manner
