Zen 4 & RDNA 3 Magic: AMD’s Ryzen 8040 Soars Into Laptops by 2024!
Ryzen 8040 “Hawk Point” APUs with Zen 4 and RDNA 3 will be available for laptops manufactured by AMD in 2024
Substantial enhancements in the form of the Strix Ryzen 8050 series in the middle of 2024. The Zen 4-core architecture will continue to be used by the Hawk Point APUs
These APUs will be compatible with the FP7/r2 and FP8 platforms, and they will provide support for DDR5/LPDDR5x memory
In addition, the graphical capabilities of the Hawk Point APUs will be constrained to the RDNA 3 architecture
The soon-to-be-released Ryzen 9 8940HS from AMD has already been seen being put to use, despite the fact that there is not yet extensive information available on what these market sectors will provide
It would seem that the Ryzen 8040 APUs will be especially beneficial to the laptop market, particularly since the versions in the “HS series” are anticipated to provide high performance at an efficient level
